How much monthly payments are on the new Haval H6 GT

It will cost at least R12,000 a month to purchase the new Haval H6 GT on a finance plan according to a calculation by TopAuto.

The sporty new iteration of the SUV comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 155kW and 325Nm, and this powertrain is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The exterior sports new aerodynamic side skirts, black wheel arches, carbon fibre inserts, 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels, and a rear roof-mounted spoiler, as well as a sport exhaust, to give the vehicle that GT look and sound.

For the interior, the GT is equipped with model-specific Alcantara seats with green stitching, eight-way electronic adjustability, two-way lumbar support, and heating functions.

Other features comprise a 10.25-inch digital driver display, a 12.3-inch entertainment centre with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, eight speakers, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, a wireless phone charger, keyless start and entry, paddle shifters, a heads-up display, and automatic dual-zone air conditioning.

Drivers can also take a load off thanks to the addition of adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, lane-keep assist, automatic parking, rear-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, auto brake hold, hill assist, front and rear parking sensors, and driver fatigue monitoring.

Monthly payments

To calculate what the monthly payments on the top-end new Haval H6 would be, we can use the following formula:

  • Car price – R629,950
  • Payment term – 60 terms (5 years)
  • Interest – 9.5%
  • Deposit – 10%
  • Balloon – No balloon payment
  • Extras – No optional extras

According to these figures, the Haval H6 GT will require a monthly payment of at least R12,001.47

Financial experts then recommend that you do not spend more than 20% of your gross monthly salary on vehicle payments.

From this, we can determine that prospective buyers will need to earn a minimum of R60,007.35 a month in order to comfortably “afford” the vehicle.

However, this figure does not include additional expenses that need to be factored into a car-buying budget, such as insurance, fuel, and maintenance.
