Most expensive Range Rover Sport in South Africa – Pricing revealed
Jaguar Land Rover has taken the covers off the new Range Rover Sport SV Carbon – the most expensive Sport model to date.
The Carbon is an exclusive take on the flagship SV specification, adding a number of carbon fibre-themed features and aesthetic components meant to elevate the SUV’s styling and performance.
The Carbon SV has a South African starting price of R3,822,300, making it R150,800 more expensive than the previous top-end unit – the SV Black.
The new model is scheduled to make its global debut at Range Rover House during Monterey Car Week on 13 August, and interested parties are encouraged to contact their nearest Jaguar Land Rover dealership to inquire about availability.
All Range Rover models are sold with a 5-year/100,000km warranty and maintenance plan.
Features

The new Range Rover Sport comes standard with the Forged Carbon Exterior Pack, which adds stealthy carbon fibre detailing across the body, including the surrounds on the Active Quad Exhaust.
Customers can also install a Twill Carbon finish, which uses a distinctive diagonal weave pattern, and an exposed carbon fibre bonnet as an optional extra.
The wheels take the form of 23-inch lightweight forged alloy rims complemented by Anodised Black brake calipers.
These can be optionally swapped for a set of 23-inch carbon fibre rims with carbon ceramic brakes in a blue, yellow, carbon bronze, or black finish.
As for the interior, there are four themes to choose from.
Customers can opt for perforated Windsor leather seats in Ebony, Ebony and Rosewood, or Light Cloud and Ebony.
Alternatively, there is a leather-free option with a Cinder Grey and Ebony colour palette, which is made from perforated Ultrafrabrics material.
The Forged Carbon detailing of the exterior can also be seen inside on the seatbacks and dashboard, which can be swapped for the aforementioned Twill Carbon option.
The automaker has also added extended Moonlight Chrome detailing and SV illuminated side plates to enhance the interior even further.
All of this is in addition to the SUV’s standard equipment, which includes keyless entry and start, a leather multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters, a wireless charger, a digital driver display, a Pivi Pro infotainment screen with onboard navigation, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a Meridian sound system with multidimensional BASS audio technology in the seats.
It also has a driver assistance suite with adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, lane-keep assist, driver alert monitoring, parking sensors, and a surround-view camera.
Engine

The SV is fitted with a 4.4-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that benefits from mild hybrid technology.
The sizeable powertrain develops 467kW and 750Nm, letting the Sport race from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds despite its large and luxurious body.
It can also reach a top speed of 266km/h.
The Range Rover has an all-wheel-drive setup, and gear changes are handled by an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Furthermore, it has 6D Dynamics Suspension, which uses hydraulic interlinked air suspension with pitch and roll control to maximise comfort and control when cornering, accelerating, and braking.
