Big petrol price decreases expected for South Africa in October

The latest data from the Central Energy Fund points to another fuel price decrease in October.

Mid-month data shows that both petrol and diesel should see a substantial drop of more than R1 per litre next month.

The reduction is attributed to a downward trend in the international price of crude oil during the initial weeks of September, bolstered by an appreciating rand/US dollar exchange rate.


New entry-level SUVs for Hyundai and Mahindra

Hyundai and Mahindra both launched new entry-level SUVs in South Africa this week.

The Hyundai Exter is placed below the Venue at a starting price of R269,900.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO, meanwhile, is replacing the XUV300 at a lower cost of R254,999.

The winners of the second annual South African Bakkie of the Year competition have officially been announced.

2 new international flights for South Africa in November

South African Airways is launching two new flights to international destinations in November.

The first route travels to Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, while the second is to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

Both flights will depart from Johannesburg, though departure and arrival times have yet to be scheduled.


New BMW X3 in South Africa – Pricing revealed

The pricing for the new BMW X3 has been uncovered ahead of its launch in South Africa later this year.

The SUV will feature five derivatives at launch with a starting rate of R1,136,417.

The X3 is built in South Africa, and the first new units will be completed this October.
