All the cars that went on sale in South Africa in the last 3 months

The third quarter of 2022 was a busy one for the South African vehicle market as we emerged from the freezing winter months when car launches and debuts took a short breather.
Around 50 new autos went on sale in the country over the last three months including affordable crossovers, sporty sedans, hot hatchbacks, utilitarian panel vans, sizeable SUVs, and even a limited-edition bakkie.
The electric revolution is also in full swing in the local market, as evidenced by both BMW and Mercedes-Benz launching at least three battery-powered vehicles each between July and September.
Similarly, Porsche made a big splash when it debuted its most track-focused 992-generation 911 yet, the GT3 RS, while Ford also produced headlines with the third-generation Everest and Shelby Mustang King of the Road – the latter of which has never been available in South Africa.
In a surprising turn of events, Mitsubishi’s long-standing Triton bakkie gained a limited-edition trim with only 50 units on offer, and Haval launched a hybrid version of its popular H6.
More standout car launches from the third quarter of 2022 included the Lamborghini Urus Performante, a super SUV with Rally mode, three South African-exclusive Mahindra bakkies decked out in off-roading gear, and the first-ever eight-seater Land Rover Defender.
